Once you’ve rested from your journey and enjoyed your breakfast, we’ll dip into Kuala Lumpur's abundant multicultural experiences on this full-day city tour.
We first head to the highlight of the tour; the Batu Caves. One of Malaysia’s most popular Hindu shrines, 272 colourful steps lead up to the site which comprises five caves and various temples, the main attraction being the Temple Cave.
Next, lunch we’ll take a break for lunch at a local restaurant for an authentic Nasi Kandar experience. A Nasi Kandar restaurant is a Malaysian eatery specializing in serving a variety of curries, meats, and side dishes with rice, allowing custom combinations.
Then, we drive to Masjid Negara, one of the country’s largest and most distinguished mosques before proceeding to visit Petronas Twin Towers.
The tour concludes at Thean Hou Temple situated in Robson Heights. This shrine is home to the patron Goddess Thean Hou of the Hainanese community. This striking six-tiered temple is regarded as one of the biggest Chinese temples in Southeast Asia.
In the evening, we jet off to Jalan Alor Food Street, for a truly Malaysian street food experience. a lively street lined with rows of hawker stalls and seafood restaurants. On arrival at Mamak (a typical Malaysian eatery) at SK Corner, we’ll try paper dosa – a paper-thin type of pancake eaten with several Indian sauces, such as curry and coconut chutney. We round out the evening with a glass of teh tarik, a popular drink of milk tea.
